This Ultimate Healthy Diet also stipulates you reduce your intake of stimulants like tea or coffee to just 2 cups a day. On the other hand, you are advised to drink 8-10 glasses of water through the day to keep your body hydrated.

A good diet based on wholesome, nutritious food not only shows in your waistline, but also gives you a new sense of vitality and vigor, while giving skin and hair a healthy gloss. A healthy diet keeps at bay regular ailments like allergies, colds, fevers, eczema, heart problems, headaches, stomach ailments, etc.

You should start your day with a breakfast of fresh fruits, consumed on an empty stomach. Fruits are digested easily and give you a strong surge of energy in the morning. Heavy foods like butter, meat and the like take a long time to be digested and divert much of the body’s energy to the digestion process, leaving you feeling heavy and drowsy first thing in the morning. For those who are not specifically trying to lose weight or those who start feeling a little hungry mid-morning can have another small bit of fresh fruits around mid-morning.

Lunch should also be a light affair, and composed mainly of a cereal, some pulses, and a choice of cooked or raw vegetables. Whole-wheat grains are preferable to processed flour as it is easier to digest and provides good fiber to aid in digestion ad smooth bowel movements. Don’t make lunch a heavy affair or you will feel groggy all afternoon.

For a light evening snack, something like a vegetable sandwich made of brown bread, or a big bowl of clear vegetable soup are excellent options as they satiate hunger while not leave you feeling too heavy for dinner. Dinner should again consist of vegetables, some pulses, and whole grain breads. You can try the Indian chapatti, which is easy to make and healthy too. You should consume dinner a few hours before sleep. Non-vegetarians can add a bonus serving of a lean, white meat like chicken or fish for dinner on an occasional basis. However, this is only a matter of taste, and meat is not essential to building body strength.

This is a basic outline of the Ultimate Healthy Diet plan. The details are left to be filled in by you, depending on your individual tastes and preferences. Moreover, for good health some amount of regular exercise is also required in addition to your Ultimate Healthy Diet.
