Finding the Perfect Gym - Lesson 2

Welcome Back…

It’s time for your second lesson. I hope you found lesson one informative.

In this lesson we will go over some other things to look for in your quest to fine the perfect gym.

In the first lesson we talked about the qualifications you should look for in trainers but another thing you should pay close attention to is the equipment that is available for your use.

A gym that only has one treadmill and limited free weights may not be your best choice. More often than not you will find yourself standing in line for equipment during peak hours. This will cut into your workout time and slow down your progress.

You will also want to check the hours that the gym is open. If they don’t fit into your schedule you may find that your exercise schedule is disrupted. Especially if the gym is open odd or short hours. It is very important to find a place that will allow you to have a great workout at a time of day that is convenient for you.

One more thing to be aware of is the cleanliness of the gym. If a gym is dirty, you could be susceptible to illnesses as they spread among members at the gym. They should provide a cleaning crew to make sure that the locker rooms are clean, as well as provide antibacterial products to wipe down the machines after workouts.

Look for another lesson tomorrow and we will go over a few more things you should know before you commit to a gym.
